Aquillina were formed in 1999 by Brixton bred singer / guitarist Joseph Aquilina (pictured)and have been informing at gigs and events around the UK. Three words the band uses to describe their music is ”Melodic, emotive and universal’. Their music is driven by melodic lines – both from the insturments as well as Joseph’s vocal lines.

Joseph Aquilina – Guitar and Vocals.
Samy Bishai – Acoustic and Electric Violins
Paul Baker – Double Bass
Nikolaji Bjerre – Drums and Percussion
Joseph’s vocals are gentle and blend well with the acoustic vibe of his songs. The band add their own lines to weave between the melody and the clearly demonstrate their ability to subtly shift the texture of the songs.
